Boys' Club Enthrones Pam, Court

"Silhouettes on Blue" was the theme of this year's Christmas Formal held on December 17 in the Maine West cafeteria from 8 to 11 p.m.

This annual affair was a formal dance sponsored by the Boys' Club. At this dance the Christmas Formal queen and her court were crowned.

Prior to the dance the boys nominated girls from their own classes. The names of the nominees were then put on ditto sheets, and again the boys voted. The girls in the Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior Classes with the most votes were members of the court. In the Senior Class the girl with the second highest number of votes was on the court, and the girl with the highest number of votes was elected queen.

This year the queen was Pam Fisher, and her court members consisted of: Katie Levan, Senior representative; Sue Odom, Junior representative; Donna Hughes, Sophomore representative; and Judy Schaffner, Freshman representative.

Queen Pam Fisher was crowned at approximately 10 o'clock by Larry Kahler, secretary of Boys' Club. The queen and her court plus their escorts then danced to the music of Jim Bestman and his orchestra.

The cafeteria was decorated with blue and white streamers. Punch and cookies were served as refreshments in R‑104.

(Editor's note: Due to the early deadline for the December 23 issue of the Westerner, it was not possible to print the announcement of the Christmas Formal Queen and her Court and the coverage of the Formal until this issue.)
