West Begins 'New' Year

So what happened to the typical, first, frosh-dedicated paper of the school year? Don't tell me things are being changed. Maybe the paper will even be interesting. Personalities are being handled differently: interview of Pip on page three, even a report on a survey that we took. Things are different.

Yes, and things will continue to be different. There are a number of things Maine West students would like to see changed-like the dress code, cafeteria conduct, study hail procedures, and dance regulations. There are some things that could be initiated-like a student-patrolled study hall, student created and enforced dress code, and a
truly effective Student Council. There is no time for another typical paper or another typical year.

The staff, Student Council, and faculty need more than support and cooperation. They need constructive criticism. Let them know, through us, what you think is wrong. Don't forget to include your name and solution to any "injustice" you find. All signed letters will receive a reply after they have been investigated.

If you're tired of hearing "It's your school," why don't you do something to make it just that.
