MW Greets Many New Teachers |

| This year there are 48 new members on Maine West's faculty. Among the members is Mr. James L. Coburn, Maine's new assistant principal. Four new counselors at Maine are Mr. Bruce Erickson, Mr. Robert Manusos, Mr. Randall Rayburn, and Miss Patricia Wernick. In the English Department Maine has seven new teachers: Mr. Douglas Blatt, Mrs. Margery Hunter, Miss Suzanne Lutz, Mr. Peter Potamianos, Miss Jean Powell, Mrs. Joeann Ryan, and Mrs. Wendy Wenner. Miss Rafela Bloch and Mrs. Marsha Davidson have joined the Language Department. Teaching Social Studies are Mrs. Judtih Garamella, Mr. James Jennings, Mr. Harvey Kelber, Mrs. Mary Jane Kolar, Mr. Charles Powers (M.A.T. Program), and Mr. Edmond Quinn. Four new science teachers are Mr. David Howdle, Mr. Brian Olivier, Mr. Chester Hideout, and Mr. Frank Skronski. Teaching mathematics this year are Mr. Bruce Campell, Mrs. Gloria Gettinger, Mr. Stephen Herring, and Mrs. Carol Surovik. |
The Business Education De-partment has four new teachers. They are Miss Stephenie Hays, Mr. John Lord, Miss Jeanne Nasca, and Mr. Robert Nelson. Mrs. Patricia Slavick is a new member of the Special Education Department. Three new teachers in the Industrial Education Department are Mr. Harold Connell, Mr. William Meles, Jr., and Mr. Keith Robinson. This year in the Art Department Maine has two new members: Mr. Mark Mattson and Mrs. Jean Sambo. Two new home economics teachers are Miss Gertrude Bauer and Miss Patricia Olson who is the Foods Occupations Coordinator for both Maine West and Maine East. In the Physical Education De-partment there is a total of six new teachers. Teaching the girls, there are Miss Joanne Barnes, Mrs. Irene Loebbaka, and Miss Royleen Tipton. Boys' classes are taught by Mr. Peter Anderson, Mr. Ronald Brown, and Mr. Donald Olson. Two new teachers in the Driver's Education Department are Mr. Wayne Ambrose and Mr. Anton Soucek. |
