MW Faculty Elects to NHS 118 Outstanding Students
New members of National Honor Society have recently been announced. Each year the faculty of Maine West nominates outstanding juniors and seniors for this honor.

According to Miss Anne Lauterbach, sponsor, "Members are chosen on the basis of their scholastic achievement and evidence of superior qualities of leadership, character, and service."

New junior members are J. Anderson, S. Baenziger, J. Birchfield, S. Bishop, G. Caravelli, J. Doyle, D. Ellwanger, S. Ferraiolo, D. Frank, D. French, L. Frey, D. Fricano, B. Golez, R. Harm and J. Henk.

Also among the 29 junior National Honor Society members are N. Johnsen, M. Keane, K. Krebs, D. Kruse, S. Lauffenburger, N. Lilja, R. Lumpp, D. Mertes, B. Miller, J. Moranz, C. Rohde, J. Sorensen, J. Thain, and A. Utes.

Seniors must rank in the upper 25 per cent of their class and have a "B" average to be eligible. A maximum of 15 per cent of the class may be elected.
 Among the 89 new senior members are M. Amling, P. Anderson, L. Andrews, B. Baker, P. Barger, E. Bednarz, L. Bergera, P. Bergquist, J. Beyer, W. Bluhm, G. Bokor, D. Brinkman, K. Bush, Kay Christensen, Kurt Christensen, A. Collias R. Connelly, and S. Cornelius.

Also elected were A. Deland, M. Dickert, P. Falconer, K. Felde, B. Ferriaolo, T. Fess, R. Gatsis, M. Gradl, D. Grutzius, L. Handler, J. Hahn, P. Hill, J. Houston V. Jacks, P. Jaeschke, K. Kallstrand, K. Karner, P. Klages, and J. Klein.
