New Privileges Begin at Maine

The "PAR" Program is a new program designed to allow seniors more freedom during their study halls. The definition of "PAR" is "Privileges Accentuate Responsibility."

The purpose of the "PAR" Program is to provide seniors with the opportunity to use study time in a relaxed manner. With this freedom the student

will learn to accept the responsibility of planning his study time with a minimum of supervision.
The Commons area will be the cafeteria. It will be open during periods 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, and 9 for seniors who would like to study, meet with faculty members, talk with other students, and relax.

Although not assigned to a specific area, seniors must be out of the halls before the tardy bell rings. Students will remain in the area of their choice for the entire period and will be subject to the rules of that area.
