New Seminars Begin Discussions On Pertinent School Problems
The final applicants for the six newly formed seminars have been chosen.

The six seminars will meet at least once each week to discuss, with a cross-section of students, problems of concern that confront the Maine West student body.

The students under Mr. Eldon Burk, working on improving school spirit, include Verna Jacks '68, Janet Fendius '71, Rick Malmberg '70, Jo Schaefer '69, Pat Owen '69, Phil Robinson '71, Mike Budas '70, Rich Hagedorn '68, Judy Bergera '69 and Eileen Goelz '69.

Miss Mae Jean Engen heads the seminar on improving the effectiveness of the Student Council with members Nancy Drews '68, Steve Forkins '71, Deborah Fowler '69, Karen Gat-sis '70, Ron Hartley '68, Barb Kotarek '70, Robert Leark '68, Deborah Lusk '70, William Skibbe '69, and Kathleen Willett '69.

Members of the dress code committee, under the direction of Mr. Wayne Rosenquist, are as follows: Kathie Weaver '69, Conrad Pluciennik '69, Marty Kracaltk '70, Janet Baker '70, Bill Chrisos '71, Susan Calabrese '68, John Beck '71, John Mattson '68, Diane Keyes '68, Dorothy Peterson '71, and Monty Abbott '68.
 Mr. A.K.H. Cochrane heads the seminar on developing selfdiscipline and privileges of responsibility. Students chosen for this committee include: Cathy Bean '70, Sue Dixon '69, Mindy Gass '68, Darcy Gray '70, Fred Horn '71, Jeri Jacob '68, Darrell Jonasson '70, Pam Schalla '68, Pat Vardella '71, and Hans Wahl '69.

Mr. Fred Bencriscutto is the chairman of the committee to encourage participation in extracurricular activities. Students serving on this committee are Lynette Menzer '68, Jan Behnke '69, Don Neuman '69, Thom Bibari '70, Kathe Wilson '68, Cyndie Wright '71, Kevin Bartlett '71, Peggy Gradl '68, and Lee Evans '70.

Mr. James Coburn's committee on the purpose of a school newspaper includes Dawn Dalin '69, Terry Tyrpin '69, Stan Sapiena '71, Ken Kateroski '71, Lynne Handler '68, Debbie La Piere '71, Jane Engle '68, Maralyn Simerman '71, Cindy Miller '71, Jan Teruggi '69, and Jim Glasier '69.
