G.A.A. Elects '68-'69 Officers |
|||||||||
| The newly elected officers of Girls' Athletic Association are Marilyn Coombs '69, president; Robin Van Osdol '69 vice-president; Karen Brenner '69, secretary-treasurer; and Gayle Lehmann '70, intramural chairman. The election was held March 20 and 21. Other candidates for the offices of president and sec-retary-treasurer were Gail Menneke '69, Diane Clarke '89, Wendy Ishihara '69, and Pat Jacobson '69. When asked what the club needed most, Marilyn Coombs replied, "My aim is to increase communication with all the girls, both members and nonmembers alike, so that more girls can enjoy the intramural program." Robin Van Osdol remarked, "I hope to help Marilyn with everything in any way I can, and I hope that the club can increase its membership next year." |
Karen Brenner said, "I feel pretty good!" when asked how she felt about being elected. "I think Marilyn's election will improve the club," she continued. "She's a real worker." Karen feels that if the active freshmen will apply for sport head positions, it will improve the club greatly. Later this year the new and old executive boards are going to have a meeting to discuss changes for next year. Present officers of G.A.A. are seniors Renee Gatsis, president; Carolyn Shayman, vice-president; Jan Rowan, secretary-treasurer; and Gail Branda, intramural chairman. |
