| Three Maine West students received ribbons for their fine horsemanship. Debbie Zub '70 placed second in intermediate equtation; Karen Ladendorf '71 placed second in beginning equitation; and Jan Osborn '71 took a fifth place in games. Pegasus Club will sponsor its eighth annual horse show on May 5. Events of the show will include beginning, intermediate, and advanced equitation and a pairs and costumes division. These categories will enable the participants to win ribbons and trophies. "Because of the enthusiasm behind the hard work shown by everyone in connection with the show, it can't help but be a success," claims Kathe Wilson '68. "Anyone who attends," she adds, "will have a good time." |
All faculty, students, parents, and alumni are invited to attend. To participate one must be a paid-in-full member of the Pegasus Club. "The show provides an excellent opportunity for the members to demonstrate their ability and skill in riding in an English saddle," commented Miss Jeanne Nasca, sponsor of the club. "I hope to see a lot of the students and faculty there." The members of Pegasus Club were contestants in a horse show held at the Midwest Stables in Dundee, Illinois, on March 24. There they competed with other suburban schools and private entries. Pegasus Club rides every Wednesday after school. Anyone is welcome to join them. |
