| By RICHARD THRAWL The State Convention of Student Councils, which was held at the Sherman House in Chicago, was a hectic scene as candidates madly campaigned for state offices. Representing West's Student Council, Jody Kinder ran for and won the office of secretary. The three day convention consisted of meetings, campaigning, dances, and a banquet. All in all, "The convention was fun and worthwhile" stated one of the Mainites who attended. |
May 5, 1968, will be the date to look forward to as the Maine West Student Council presents The Cryan Shames and the For Days & a Night in concert. There will be two shows: one at 6:30 p.m. and the second at 8:45 p.m. May 5, being a Sunday, should enable a great number of Maine West students to attend the concert. A suggestion: Should one be planning to attend the concerts, it is advisable that tickets be purchased immediately. They are on sale in the bookstore at a cost of $2.50. There are no reserved seats. |
