Students To Give Show

Fashions in Clothing

"Fashion Moments To Remember" is the theme of this year's Home Economics Department fashion show to be presented May 16 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Girls from the clothing classes will model the different pants suits, dresses, and formals which they have been making throughout the year. Anyone may attend this event, and there will be no admission fee.

During the fashion show, various awards will be presented to students for the Betty Crocker Contest and the Penny Flam Cherry Pie Contest. Special recognition will be given to the Home Economics Club officers, and corsages will be presented to the new officers for next year.

Approximately 200 students from the Clothing I, II, and III classes will model in the show. In addition there will be children to model clothing which has been made by some of the clothing students.
A new feature added this year to the fashion show will be the presentation of wearing apparel from past eras made by the Clothing III classes. Some of the "old-time" apparel includes a his and her "Gay-Ninties" bathing suit made by Kathy Becker '68.

Refreshments consisting of punch and cookies will be served during the intermission. They will be made and served by the foods classes.

Tryouts for show commentators were held April 30. The girls were judged on their ability to speak loudly and clearly.

Working very hard on this year's fashion show is the Home Economics Club. Officers for this year include Linda Dancaster '68, president; Marilyn Dickert '68, vice-president; and Laura Jaswiak '70, secretary-treasurer.

Mrs. Katherine Hofmann, Home Economics teacher, invites everyone to attend "Fashion Moments to Remember." "It should be very enjoyable."
