| Spring intramurals are in full swing with softball on Mondays and Wednesdays, golf on Tuesdays and Thursdays, swimming on Wednesdays, and camping on Fridays after school. Softball, golf, and camping participants are to meet in the C-wing gym. Golfers will go to Lake Park one of the two afternoons each week, and campers are planning a weekend trip on May 11-12. All girls, G.A.A. members and non-members, are encouraged to attend any of these activities. Applications are available on gym bulletin boards for 1968-69 G.A.A. sporthead officers. Officers are selected to represent and assist in each of the intramurals offered at Maine. |
The activities for which a sporthead officer will be selected include: archery, badminton, basketball, camping, golf, gymnastics, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. Applications are due in the box outside Miss Judy Coddington's office in the pool locker room by 4 o'clock, May 17. The new officers will be announced at the awards banquet on May 21. Applications are available to girls who desire to attend the G.A.A. Leadership Camp at Williams Bay, Wisconsin, during the week of June 16-23. The G.A.A. will pay the $36 fee for the two girls selected. |
