Mainites Disregard 'Ways' |
|||||||||
| By KATHIE WOLF Who knows what the Maine Way is? Who has ever heard of the Maine Way? There is a framed replica of it in nearly every room in the building. For those who do not know what it is, the Maine Way is Non-Prejudice, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Friendliness, and Sportsmanship. From the events of the last two weeks it would seem as if many have forgotten the Maine Way or simply chosen to |
ignore it. Apparently those of little integrity scored better than they should have on the American History Honors Exam. Those teachers in whose study halls students took the exam also seem to have been immune to their responsibility. There are few who would have noticed if a student was using his textbook during the test. It is up to each and every person at West, students and faculty alike, to ask himself: Are we true Mainites? Do we represent the Maine Way ? |
