| The three highest scorers in the Historical Society examination are juniors Steve Baenziger, Scott Ferraiolo, and Kurt Krebs. After taking an essay examination, Scott Ferraiolo was rated the highest by the Social Science Department. He will receive the $25 savings bond annually awarded by the Historical Society. Participation in this examination is open only to juniors. A student must also have completed three semesters of United States history with a B average or better. Those receiving a score of 85 and above become a member of the society. They are awarded a lifetime membership. "This is purely an honorary society. The only meetings we have are when new members are initiated. That's the only social function the society has throughout the year," states the Historical Society sponsor, Mr. James Leming. |
