Del, Olavo Say Farewell To Maine West Friends |
|||||||||||
| To my Maine West friends: I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of you for being so kind to me during the wonderful year I had at Maine West. I am also grateful for your sharing with me the fun and excitement which made this year the most memorable to me. From the beginning to the end, I learned many things that helped to give me a true and dear image of the American people, and there is no doubt in my heart that I enjoyed every moment of my stay. The very thought of leaving you is painful to me, but I assure you, you will always be present in my memories as long as I live. Sincerely, Del Hachimi Del will leave Des Plaines on June 27 to join the AFS Bus Stop tour of the eastern United States. He will leave New York for Morocco on July 21 and expects to return to his native land by August 1. |
Dear friends, For me, this letter is real hard to write, especially because I am leaving you after one of the best times I ever had in my life. I don't know how to express my gratitude after all you have done for me. I never knew before such a friendly people as the one I find at Maine West. You can be sure I'll never forget this semester at Maine wherever I go, and I'm going to make it possible to come back some day to Maine West. Olavo Ribeiro Olavo is looking forward to a vacation with his host family, the Ralph Weavers, sightseeing in Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg. He will leave for Miami on June 25 and take an early morning flight back to Rio on June 26. |
