Graduation Exercises To Take Place June 7 |

| The Ninth Annual Commencement Exercises for Maine West's 1968 graduating class will start at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at the Maine East field house. The exercises will begin with a fanfare by Mr. Jared Spears which has been specially composed for Maine Township High School West's graduations. After the processionals performed by the Concert Band conducted by Mr. Robert Kuite. The color guard will present the colors, and the national anthem will be sung. The Reverend John R. Schwenke of the Community Renewal Society, Chicago, will deliver the invocation. A welcome address and introduction of |
the salutatorian and valedictorian given by the Senior Class president, Gregory Essig, will precede the commencement addresses by the valedictorian. Miss Anne E. Lauterbach, English Department, will then be presented with a watch for 25 years of service rendered at Maine. Superintendent of Township High School District No. 207, Dr. Richard R. Short, will present the class; and Board of Education members will present the diplomas. Prior to the recessional Mr. Robert R. Rupar and Mr. George J. Walker, Jr. will announce the graduates' names. |
