Bob Banger |
|||||||||
| Bob Banger, another outstanding athlete, has earned three letters in baseball, three in football, and two in basketball. Beneath his rough exterior lies a rough interior, which is the reason for his favoring football. "It's a rough sport," he commented, "with a lot of contact." Football has also provided him with many exciting moments, the foremost occurring in last year's game against Conant when, one play Bob said included "about 12 cross-body blocks," he ran 40 yards for a touchdown. Bob is grateful for "the good education" he received here, but he will remember Maine West mostly because he "had a lot of fun." He will be attending Iowa State under a football scholarship. | ![]() |
