Lee LaBadie |
|||||||||
| Lee LaBadie is just another standard '68 model with standard interests (girls, etc.), but he has an interesting option which has long been studied by sports officials throughout the state and that is running. In his career at Maine Lee has distinguished himself as the school's and, possibly the state's, best high school distance runner. He has earned four letters apiece in track and cross-country, shattered a number of school and state records, run a 4:10.0 indoor mile, been voted into Maine's Hall of Fame near the main entrance, taken second in state for the mile twice, and has experienced his most exciting moment in winning the state cross-country championship. Lee will study architecture and run at the University of Illinois in Champaign, a campus with which he should be quite familiar by now. Looking back on his four years at Maine, Lee simply said, "I've had one heck-uva good time." | ![]() |
