Stickmen End Season |

| Coach Eugene Zuccarini's varsity stickmen finished up their conference season on Monday, May 20, when they were edged by Glenbrook North by the score of 163-160. Because of rain, only nine holes were played on Glenbrook's course. Top Warrior scorers in the meet included Dave Grutzius, who shot a 39; Bob Edwards, with 40; Ken Helfers, 41; and Tom Redmond, 43. However, Glenbrook's victory was helped by a pair of low scores (37 and 38). |
The conference meet, which included Maine South, Maine West, Glenbrook North, Glenbrook South, Niles North, Niles West, New Trier West, and Deerfield, was scheduled for last Tuesday, May 28, at Glenbrook North (Glenview Naval Station). The varsity ended their season with a 3-4 conference dual meet record. The freshmen, however, were able to pull only one conference victory out of the season. |
