Broadcasting For WMTH Begins |
|||||||||
| Blast-off date this year for WMTH-FM, "The Voice of Maine," was September 25. It will be on the air daily from 11 am. to 6 p.m. at 88.5 on the FM radio dial. It broadcasts directly from Maine East or by remote control from Maine West and Maine South. According to Mrs. Cynthia Schaulis, manager of the station, this year's program will include "rock," classical, jazz, and Broadway type music. Interview programs as well as broadcasts of athletic events, school activities, news, and weather reports are on the agenda this year so "tune in and turn on." Working with Mrs. Schaulis to provide the broadcasts are Maine students, many of whom are taking radio-TV courses in school. |
"Maine Line" is this year's interview program. The Maine East Mothers' Club sponsors this program which is broadcast every Tuesday afternoon from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Questions about the high schools, students, and the educational programs are asked and answered. Mrs. Carol Miller of Park Ridge will be this year's interviewer. Some of the subjects to be discussed on "Maine Line" are the new school programs now being tried. |
