G.A.A. Says

The Girls' Athletic Association is well under way with camping, tennis, and archery as the current activities on the G.A.A. agenda.

"Be prepared for anything," warned Gayle Lehman '70, camping sporthead, when asked what advice she would give to G.A.A. members planning to attend the camping outings scheduled for October 14 and 15, 21 and 22, and November 10 and 11. Canoeing, horseback riding, pup-tent camping for the first two overnights and cabin camping for the third will be featured.

Girls interested in intramural tennis should come to C-wing gym Tuesday and Thursday, and those interested in joining the tennis team should consult Miss June Thompson, sponsor. Archery meets on Monday and Thursday in C-wing gym. A faculty shoot is planned for the future.
Miss Judy Coddington, sponsor of G.A.A., stated, "With our executive board consisting of Renee Gatsis '68, president; Carolyn Shayman '68, vice-president; Jan Rowan '68, secretarytreasurer; and Gail Branda '68, intramural chairman, and our intramural officers, we h a v e planned for a different and exciting year of G.A.A. activities."

The G.A.A. newsletter, the "Round-up," will be published quarterly and will contain each member's total points, short sketches of G.A.A. personalities, and a calendar of coming events. Any G.A.A. member with an interesting idea or story for the "Round-up" should contact Diane Clarke '69, newsletter chairman.

Membership cards, which are due to come out next week, will go to more than 200 members. This year's membership is twice as large as last year's. G.A.A.'s successful membership drive concluded with an after school playday, and plans are presently being made for a Playnite later this fall.
