It's What's Happening!

The new officers presiding over Tri-S this year will be Pam Osburn '68, president; George Eck '68, vice-president; Liz Bednarz '68, treasurer; and Stephanie Ells '68, secretary.

Tri-S has planned a schedule which will include a political bout between the representatives of imaginary countries.

Mrs. Mary Hartmann, history instructor and sponsor of Tri-S, expressed. "We try to teach students how local and international politics work."


On October 25 and 26 the law students of Mr. Sidney Drain's classes will be taking a trip to the criminal courts in Chicago. The particular points of interest will be a session in Felony Court and a tour through the jails.
Mr. Drain indicated "The purpose of this trip is to acquaint students with regular court procedure." He also humorously added that "Some of my students may see the electric chair in operation."


The Driver Education Department recently received two new 1968 "Fury II" Plymouth four-door sedans from D e s Plaines Chrysler-Plymouth, Inc. Maine Township High Schools have a Driver Education program which stresses safety at the wheel. The two new cars will play a large part in instruction of student drivers.
