G.A.A. Says

Would you have liked to help in the capture of an eight-inch diamondback rattlesnake? The G.A.A. girls on the camping trips at Camp Ravenswood near Lake Villa did. Other fun activities included horseback riding, canoeing, and cooking all meals outdoors.

Miss Judith Coddington, sponsor, and Miss Royleen Tipton chaperoned the 23 girls on their action-packed weekend of October 14 and 15.

"The weather was beautiful until Sunday afternoon when it was time to do dishes," recalled Miss Coddington. "Then there was a downpour of warm rain well, would you believe wet rain?"
Another trip is being planned for November 10 and 11. The G.A.A., Junior Leaders, and Senior Leaders will be leaving after school Friday and returning Saturday evening.

Many of the girls who go camping also go canoeing every Tuesday and Wednesday after school at Lake Park.

Carolyn Shayman '68, vice-president, pointed out about the refreshment stands that working in them "is a hard job and we are doing the best we can to wait on you. So please be patient."

A student tennis tournament is being planned for the near future. Attendance this year is good for both tennis and archery.
