Girls' Club To Sponsor MW Senior-Faculty Tea

What is a "Gobbler's Gourmet?" The "Gobbler's Gourmet?" is the theme for this year's Senior-Faculty Tea. All of the senior girls are invited as well as the teachers and members of the staff.

On Tuesday, November 21, at 4 p.m. the Girls' Club will host this annual event, which will take place in the Maine West cafeteria. The girls are urged to wear dressy clothes so the atmosphere will appear more formal.

Tickets for the "Gobbler's Gourmet" can be purchased during the lunch periods in the cafeteria on Tuesday, November 14, through Tuesday, November 21. The price of the tickets will be $.75.

Donna Lindfors '68 is the president of Girls' Club, and Debbie Sider '68 is the vice-president. Melissa Amling '68 is the secretary, and Kathy Bautista '69 is the treasurer. These officers have also been assisting the committee chairmen and the committees with their projects.

"The Senior-Faculty Tea is one of the first special senior events and is very well attended," commented Miss Mae Jean Engen, dean of girls and co-sponsor of Girls' Club. Miss Engen also believes this will be a highlight of the senior year. Miss Mary Dueland, counselor, is also a co-sponsor of Girls' Club.

The chairmen of the four committees for the tea are Laraine Mesavage '69, decorations; Connie Stecher '68, entertainment; Linda Bergera '68, publicity; and the chairman for tickets and programs is Carol Mielke '69.
Large cut-out turkeys will accent the Thanksgiving theme for the tea. Also flower arrangements and horns of plenty are being considered for the head tables. Helping Laraine Mesavage with the decorations are Diane Becker '69, Kay Lowden '71, and Cathy Bruhn '71.

Apple slices and punch will add to the "Gobbler's Gourmet." The Thanksgiving atmosphere w ill introduce the Thanksgiving holidays. In charge of the refreshments committee are Melissa Amling '68, Kathy Bautista '69, Debbie Sider '68, and Donna Lindfors

"The tea this year will be better publicized," contends Linda Bergera '68, chairman of publicity, "with banners and posters; and the officers may wear name tags." Also helping Linda with publicity are Kris Kristen '70, Dorrie Johnson '70, and Lee Evans '70.

Sue Lenhart '68, Sue Black '71, and Debbie Wojac '71 will help Carol Mielke '69 with the tickets and programs. They hope to sell around 300 tickets. The tickets will be accented with black and white. The pro-grams will vary in color for the teachers and girls.

Various colored place cards and programs are going to be distributed to the teachers and girls when they enter the cafeteria. The girls and teachers will then be mixed for seating arrangements.

Donna Lindfors, president, hopes "all the senior girls come so that we have a real big turnout."

After the Senior-Faculty Tea is a reality, the Girls' Club will start to plan their many other events. Some of these are the Senior Mother-Daughter Dessert, the Girls' Choice Dance in February, and the Christmas stocking collection.
