Senior Class To Present Popular Play

Take Her, She's Mine, this year's Senior Class play, is being polished for performances on Thursday, November 30; Friday, December 1; and Saturday, December 2. The cast and students involved in production are working hard to make this the biggest success a Senior Class has ever staged.

Pam Osburn plays the lead, Mollie Michaelson, with Bob Connelly as her father Frank. Melissa Amling plays Anne, Mollie's mother; and Kristine Goebel and Sue Ripley double on the part of Mollie's sister Liz.

Others in the play are Max Elsey as Emmet, Lorrie Ware and Linda Peterson doubling as Adele, Phil Witkay as Alex, and Stefanie Muller and Mary Ann Jados doubling as Sarah.

Randy Stamp, Dave Larsen, Steve Cornelius, Jim Genelli, Scott Ingles, Ron Colberg, Gary Jung, Ron Schueman, Barb Goodey, Bob Lorz, and Lee Rodin are also members of the cast.

The play centers around Mollie, a girl from southern California who goes to an all-girl Eastern college, Hawthorne College for Women. Mollie is affected by her surroundings and her new friends so much that when she returns home at Christmas she has changed completely.
Mollie's family and friends are shocked and a little bewildered by this drastic transformation, especially Frank, Mollie's father.

Mollie returns to college after Christmas and undergoes a few more changes, then settles down and decides to quit college, much to the dismay of Frank and Anne, as well as Alex, a boy who is very interested in Mollie.

All turns out well at the end, with Mollie's younger sister Liz leaving for Radcliffe; Emmett, Mollie's admirer, falling in love with Liz; and Mollie returning to college, this time t Stanford in San Francisco, in order to be near Alex.

The play has many funny moments, as well as many tender ones. Mr. Garth Boyer, general director, feels that Maine students will identify with the characters.

Playing a big role in the production's success or failure are Lydia Orloff and Karin Karner, student directors, and Peg Holler production coordinator.

Others behind the scenes include Diana Scherrer, chairman of the makeup committee, Jay Stearns, lighting director, and Bill Conway, in charge of audio.
