ISSC Honors Maine
Semi-finalists

Eighty-six Maine West seniors have qualified as Illinois State Scholarship semi-finalists this year.

Should the students, chosen according to their performance on the American College Test (ACT.) in May and August, be among the finalists announced in February, they will be eligible for Illinois State Scholarships.

The students are Linda Andrews, Bruce Baker, Pamela Barger, Michael Bayer, Carol Ann Baylie, Elizabeth Bednarz, Phyllis Berquist, Joan Beyer, William Bluhm, Geraldine Bokor, Karl Bush, John Carlson, Andrew Collias, Marilyn Dickert, Doug1as Fager, Vivienne Geiger, and Margaret Gradl.

Other semi-finalists are Lynne Handler, Pamela Hill, Timothy Hinde, John Houston, Sandy Hurley, Virginia Isenbarger, Ann Jackson, Randall Jackson, Jeri Jacob, Mary Ann Jados, Patricia Jaeschke, Gary Jung, Peter Klages, James Klein, Linda Klippert, Sandra Kolton, Robert Koontz, and Peter Kovar.
Also qualifying are Lee LaBadie, Warren Lange, David Larson, Susan Lenhart, Susan Lloyd, Peggy Loebach, Robert Lorz, Lois Lundquist Robert Mack, Roslyn Mahoney, Kathleen Malten, Judi Markoya, Norman Markworth, Donald Maruska, Joyce Miller, Carol Mollenkamp, John Moore, and Nancy Mott.

Semi-finalists also include Kurt Nelson, Terry Newport, Pamela Osburn, Kristin Osman, Robert Pelinski, Cathy Peterson, Christena Peterson, Thomas Redmond, James Reed, Barbara Reinberger, Janis Rome, Karen Saxon, Cheryl Schueler, Frank Schulz, Robert Schwenke, John Seeber, and Carolyn Shayman.

Others are Jane Siljestrom, Gary Smith, Jean Spindler, William Steger, Michael Tamillo, John Thvedt, Linda Vandenbranden, Tom Venema, Patricia Verlo Arlene Vrana, Ted Waskowski, Paul Watry, Alan Werkle, David Williams, Kathleen Wilson, and Bonnie Witzl.

The scholarships, which are awarded according to the applicant's financial need, range from $150 to $1,100 and are valid only for undergraduate work at an approved Illinois institution.
