GAA Says

"Fall-ins, Winter Begins" is the theme of the G.A.A. playnite tonight, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. in C-wing gym and then move to the pool for swimming and end at 9:30 p.m. The event is open to all members and girls who join G.A.A. there for $.75.

Early in the evening the faculty will present a gym wear fashion show and impersonate various types of students frequently found in their gym classes. Girls arriving late will miss this short demonstration, advises Miss Judy Coddington.

Intramural gymnastics began Tuesday, November 14, in C-wing gym, with Tuesdays devoted to general practice after school and Fridays devoted to advanced gymnastics. Girls coming on Friday will be able to learn more advanced movements than those now taught in their regular gym classes.
Intramural basketball, which began yesterday, meets every Monday and Thursday at 3:45 p.m. in C-wing gym. It's not too late, said Miss Mildred McManus, sponsor, for girls to form teams or to sign up individually with their gym teachers.

G.A.A. members will soon be receiving the newsletter "Round-up" along with their membership cards in their homerooms. Members are also looking forward to a mother-daughter playnite on Tuesday, December 12.

There will be a meeting on November 20 for any new, prospective members of Aquiana. Mrs. Margaret McCaw said that refreshments will be served and a scrapbook of past Aquiana achievements and events will be passed around.

All girls who would like to become "Maine Mermaids" may go to R-104 after school on November 20 and get the "low down."
