West Parking Lot Becomes 'Demolition Derby'

Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. If it's excitement, thrills, and daring feats that turn you on, this is the spot; this is the time. The starting bell is almost ready. And there we have it, folks. Now get ready for some excitement; the "Great Race" is on.

We see the orange Mustang and the blue Jaguar trying to decide which way is meant by the "one-way" sign. Just to our left we can't leave out that Oldsmobile fighting for the road with that convertible. But they're both stopping. What seems to be the problem? Engine trouble? No, it seems that the two drivers are exchanging algebra books.
Focus on that big group of cars to the right. What seems to be going on? Why haven't they started with the starting signal? It seems that the cars are unable to move due to conditions beyond their control-pedestrians walking, running, and jumping all over the track.

Just a moment. Hold everything! I believe that we have a winner. The driver of the Chevy has made it. We now switch to our finish line reporter right there on Oakton, just east of Wolf.

Back in our booth for our wrap-up - thanks for joining us today. Tune in again tomorrow. We had no smashed fenders today, but tomorrow when the bell rings at 3:37, another "Great Race" will begin in the Maine West parking lot.
