Queen and Court Reign at Formal

The Boys' Club Christmas formal, "Blue Frost," was held on December 16 from 8:30 to 11 p.m. in the Maine West auditorium.

The annual event was highlighted by the presentation of the Court and the crowning of the Queen.

The week prior to the dance, the boys from each class nominated girls from their classes to represent the classes on the Court. The boys then voted for the nominees. The girl with the highest number of votes in each class was the attendant.

The Senior girl with the second highest number of votes was the Senior attendant, and the girl with the highest number of votes was the Queen.
This Year's Queen was Val Dietz. Her Court consisted of Karen Johnson, Senior attendant; Debbie Mateling, Junior attendant; Debbie Lusk, Sophomore attendant; and Lora Lorentz, Freshman attendant.

While the couples watched, Queen Val Dietz was crowned by the Boys' Club president, Larry Kahler '68. After the crowning, the couples danced to the music of Frank Derrick and his orchestra.

The auditorium was decorated with blue and white lights. Refreshments were served to those in attendance.

The Christmas post office was held on December 14, 15, 18, 19, and 20. It was located in front of the cafeteria. Students were able to send cards to anyone in any of the three Maine schools.
