Class of 70 Plans Party

The sophomores will have their PTC party on Saturday, March 9. It will be sponsored by the parents of students in the Sophomore Class.

"The party is still in the planning stages, but it might be really different this year," revealed John Schmidt, Sophomore Class president.

The sophomores hope to turn the party into a carnival atmosphere with booths, games, and various other activities, which they think will draw more people.

The party will also feature a show in the auditorium put on by the sophomores themselves. Mr. Robert Hayward, master of ceremonies for the show, urges any sophomore, regardless of his talent, to come out for the show. Mr. Hayward would like as many acts as possible.
The success of this year's party will determine whether the Sophomore Class will have one or two class parties next year. "If there is a great lack of interest at this party, we will probably eliminate one of the parties next year," explained John.

The chairmen for the party are Joe Szabo, decorations; Jeff Maruszewicz and Bill Erickson, entertainment; Toni Hems, food; and Lee Evans, publicity.

The Sophomore Class Council has not yet decided on a title for the party. Any sophomore with an idea for a title should turn it in to his Class Council representative.

The 1967-68 Sophomore Class officers are John Schmidt, president: Debbie Lusk, vice-president; Rosie Braun, secretary; and Cathy Leer, treasurer. The sponsors are Miss Rosalie Streng and Mr. Richard Frey.
