Senior's Name Prom:
'Ours to Remember'

A bicycle race to DeKalb after the Senior Prom? "Hardly," said Lori Nave, prom chairman. "Ours to Remember," the 1968 Senior Class Prom will take place on Friday, May 31, from 8 to 11:30 p.m. at Henrici's.

Already telephones are buzzing and budgets are shrinking as the Senior Class Council delves into the mystery of creating "the" prom. The committee chairman are Don Maruska, refreshments; Linda Dolphin, publicity; Mindy Gass, invitations and bids; and Linda Johnson, entertainment.

"Everything is practically done already, so it should be pretty good," remarked Lori. After the prom there will be a midnight dinner at the Elk's Club. Efforts to engage the school cafeteria were discouraged early in the planning.
The seniors will then take buses to Glenview where they will board the Dream Train to Dellview Resort, located near the Wisconsin Dells.

The train will be sponsored by the parents who will provide the decorations, refreshments, and combo. A few fathers will be supervising on the train. These fathers can usually be found happily singing or snoozing.

At the lodge the facilities available will be horseback riding, miniature golf, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Both breakfast and lunch will be served at the resort. The train will leave after lunch so the seniors should arrive back in Des Plaines around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Ticket information and the time and places the students will have to change clothes before leaving for Dellview will be announced at a later date.
