Girls' Choice Dance Proves Successful

The annual Girls' Choice Dance was held Saturday, February 17, in the Maine West cafeteria.

The cafeteria was cheerfully decorated as a carousel with balloons and gay clowns. In carnival style the cafeteria awaited its guests. At exactly 8:30 p.m. things began to come alive.

The Mead' and the Renaissance, two Maine West combos, started playing the popular favorites. Couples had the
option of dancing to the music or just sitting down at one of the tables and talking.

Carnival refreshments were served in R-104. Popcorn, carmel-corn, and red and green punch were provided.

"The dance was great! It was different from previous years and was a lot of fun," stated one of the attendants at the dance.
