| By MARGARET KSANDER and ELLEN JUST The long worked for Coke machine has been installed by the Student Council. The machine is located in the cafeteria, and no restrictions have been placed on where students may take the soft drinks. However, if students abuse this privilege, restrictions will have to be made. The week of March 4 through 8 has been designated AFS Week. AFS (American Field Service) is the organization through which foreign students are able to come to Maine and Maine students are able to go to foreign countries. Plans are being made for some activity to take place every day of that week. |
A GI Drive is planned for the week of April 29 through May 3. For this drive the Council is sponsoring a concert by the Cryan' Shames on May 5. Another project of the Council is "Breakfast with the Brass." This program, in which the Council will treat the administration to breakfast, is designed to promote closer ties between the students and administration. This year's V-Show was a big success and sold more tickets and had a bigger profit than any previous year's show. |
