| Guess what? There are only 20 more school days until spring vacation. Then my Phynques report that the Great White Rabbit will soon be arriving. Get ready, all you egg eaters! This doghouse of mine is getting crowded these days. Uh, move over, Westerner page editor, who forgot to give credit to Janet Giardini for writing the feature article on the Flock. Others in my way are the reporters who didn't give credit in the Variety Show article to Mr. George Blanas, Art Department chairman, and the Stagecrafters and their sponsor, Mr. Robert Pelikan. They'd been putting in long hours of work since Thanksgiving on the construction of sets. Do things right so you won't have to live with me! I hate small doghouses that get crowded. Variety Show was "juth thwell." Right, Ron Colberg? Speaking of V-Show, Jim Chrisos and Pete Chrisos certainly made the most of their celebrations. Although Laura Frey "jus' loves coconut," some special someone was thinking of Lauri Schueler when he switched the plain cream pastry to luscious blueberry pie. Here's pie in your eye! Bruce Bottger put himself into the role of Spanky with all that he could. Too bad his bright green knickers split. They couldn't take the strain. Janie Leis got so excited during her performances that she lost her Levis. Don't feet bad, Janie; Carol Beam is in such a daze that it took her one period to realize that her legs were cold. She forgot her nylons in her gym locker. Gym classes seem to be the true test of a man. Bob Hasselmann put up a good fight, but he was all wet. If he had just taken the advice of trampoliner Lise Pahnke and "floated like a feather" Does that really help, Lise? I wish those washrooms in B-wing were more closely and clearly marked. A certain freshman boy seems to have trouble reading the signs. Frank Grange and Arlene Hegg should stand to have eye examinations, too - either that or learn how to remove trees by pointing their fingers. Bill Caddy tells me that Park District basketball can be awfully cold on certain Tuesday nights, right, Ed Gibbis? A special note of thanks is in order for these additional people who helped make the V-Show sets colorful: Karen Karner, Mike Tamillo, Jean Spindler, Bob Briskey, and Bruce Blum. The picture pages in this issue were possible because of additional financial assistance of the administration and a special contribution of the Student Council. Don't forget - the eyes of Morfit are upon you - and that means you and Al too, Marilyn Fitzgerald. - Morfit and the Phynques |
