Maine's Cagers Whip Both Glenbrook South, North

Maine West's varsity cagers thoroughly enjoyed themselves when they victimized both Glenbrook North and South in last weekend's doubleheader.

In the previous game Friday night, Glenbrook North was beaten 46-40. The scoring pattern was somewhat similar to the game against South; in that West held a slim lead until the end of the first half, which ended with the teams at a 20-20 deadlock.
The third quarter was a seesaw battle, but Maine again came back in the fourth period while they held the Spartans from scoring until the last minute and a half of the game. Bruce Kaechele '68 was leading scorer with 18 points.

Maine lost an earlier game to New Trier West by a score of 78-51 at a time when three starters were out. Although the Cowboys dominated the game, Kaechele was again high scorer with 25 points.
