| This week's featured player is 5'll", brown-haired, greeneyed senior Ted Waskowski. Ted has been an active member of the basketball and baseball teams for four years and has lettered in baseball. Ted's courses include English IVW, European History AP, law and economics, and geology, which is his favorite because of Mr. Joseph Jobst. Being a member of the baseball team, Ted feels that "Maine West at present has the worst facilities for athletics in the area." Ted feels that the field house will promote school spirit although he thinks it isn't bad now. Ted judged that "Because Maine has just finished playing the top three teams, we will even our records in basketball." |
Ted admitted that the first couple days of practice are the hardest part of training. He enjoys playing baseball the most when it's warm. "Maine South may be planning to take their third straight Conference championship in basketball, but we are going for our tenth championship in baseball," Ted boasted. Ted is business manager of the Legend, a member of M-Club, and a member of Student Council. He also writes for the Times. Ted likes the fact that the "teachers are so dedicated." Ted plans on going to college, preferably Northwestern, although he applied to other colleges. |
