Kenneth (Ken) Leroy Brazeau, age 76, of Belleville, Michigan went to sleep in death Friday, May 22, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born July 16, 1943 in Mobile, Alabama, son of Robert Leroy and Lola Marie (Burchett) Brazeau. Ken’s mother instilled in him a love for Jehovah God. He made the choice to dedicate his life and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 4, 1958 in Toledo, Ohio. Ken graduated from Maine West High School in Des Plaines, Illinois in 1961. He moved with his family to Jackson, Michigan in 1966, which is where he met and married the love of his life Cheryl Beebe. Ken enjoyed a loving marriage with Cheryl until she passed away in 1991. Ken had an extensive career in finance. He always worked hard to support his family and provide for their needs. Ken enjoyed all things spicy and pickled and wasn’t intimidated by new dishes as long as it wasn’t bland. He especially enjoyed it when someone else did the cooking. He was an avid reader, enjoying fiction and non-fiction. Always wanting to learn, he enjoyed being able to search different subjects to expand his knowledge and share a recent gem that he discovered. He especially loved collecting various translations of the Bible, comparing the differences in text while making extensive notes. Even though he was a self-declared introvert he enjoyed lengthy conversations with friends and family and was always willing to listen and give advice. Sharing his faith in future promises from the Bible gave him great satisfaction. He was part of the Huron River Belleville Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and recently the Lakeside Belleville Congregation. Ken is survived by his four daughters: Renee (James) Jordan, Collette (Jason) Segur, Vanessa (Brian) Allen, of Belleville, Michigan, and Jael (Gregg) Maury of Kingston, Georgia. His seven grandchildren: Micah, Sam, Lauren, Aiden, Silas, Avery and Benjamin. His beloved siblings, Sharon “Sally” Arnold, David Brazeau, Michelle (Lonnie) Mayo and recently acquainted siblings Robin (Shane) Methena and Christopher Reinhart. He is also survived by his loving cousin Kathy Sue Brothers, numerous friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a large extended family by which he was fondly referred to as “Kenny”. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Cheryl (Beebe) Brazeau and his brother Leon Williams.
