Joann "Cookie" Phillips passed away Thursday Oct. 23, 2014 at Cedar Point Nursing Home in Cicero after a near lifelong struggle with manic depression. She was predeceased by her parents Alice (nee Lewis) and Rudy Phillips, Sr. She is survived by her brother and guardian Rudy Phillips, Jr. of Cape Cod, MA, her lifelong best friend and supporter, Joy Summers Reitmeier, her beloved godparents Aunt Mabel (nee Lewis) and Uncle Alex DiPietropaolo of Crystal Lake and special "Aunt Shirley" as well as many cousins with whom she lost contact over the many years of hospitalization.
