James W. "Jim" Bronk, 45, of Carpentersville, IL. Born Sept. 25, 1964, in Chicago, the son of Robert and Maureen (nee Sweeney) Bronk, he died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009, at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Jim was a resident of the Carpentersville area for the past 11 years. He was a former 10-year employee of the City of Des Plaines, where he worked as a radio dispatcher for the Fire Department and later in the Department of Public Works. Jim was a member of the Carpentersville Moose Lodge #1958. On May 10, 1987, he married Doris M. Weiszmann. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Doris M.; their daughters, Melissa, Sarah and Caitlin, all at home; and his siblings, Mike Bronk of Des Plaines, Tom (Patty) Bronk of Tennessee, Sue (Mark) Roer of Arlington Heights and Danny Bronk of Schaumburg. Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
